Experiences

The private setting and peaceful atmosphere makes Boorn Brook Farm a great choice for a multitude of different events and experiences.  Within driving distance of New York City, Hartford, Albany and Boston, Boorn Brook Farm is an ideal venue for your next family retreat, executive conference, corporate meeting, or strategic planning session.  Whether you are looking for a  daytime event or an overnight retreat, contact our staff to tailor an experience to meet your specific family or business needs.  Some of the experiences our guests enjoy are:

Green Mountain Falconry School at Boorn Brook Farm

Exclusive to Boorn Brook Farm is the Green Mountain Falconry School, the first of only a handful of falconry schools across the country.  Book a private falconry lesson and take a hawk walk on the property's 3 miles of groomed wooded trails or for a larger group book a "meet and greet the birds" session.  The term "bucket list" is often used to describe these hands on lessons and walks!

Fly fishing lessons at the Farm's stocked pond

In the summer, take fly fishing lessons in our stocked trout pond and learn the art of fly fishing with a local guide. Fly fishing lessons and group activities are available on and off site and are coordinated with expert local guides.  Fly fishing in the local brook that borders the property adds to the fun and experience or expand to the Battenkill to test your skills.

Honey Harvest and bottling of the bees "liquid gold"

Boorn Brook Farm has its own apiary where the local harvest in the late spring and fall brings delicious golden nectar for your consumption.  If making your own party favors appeals to you, bottle your own honey (subject to availability) gathered from our own hives.  Learn about the bees, and enjoy the local honey with your toast, tea or by the spoonful.
