Green Mountain Falconry School

Exclusive to Boorn Brook Farm is the Green Mountain Falconry School, the first of only a handful of falconry schools across the country.  Book a private falconry lesson and take a hawk walk on the property's 3 miles of groomed, wooded trails, or for a larger group, book a "meet and greet the birds" session.  The term "bucket list" is often used to describe these hands on lessons and walks!

Fly fishing lessons

In the summer, take fly fishing lessons in our stocked trout pond, and learn the art of the sport with a local guide. The lessons and group activities are available on and off site, and are coordinated with local experts specializing in the field.  After practicing your newly learned techniques in the pond, you can master your new skills in the local brook that borders the property. Feel like you are prepared for a more advanced challenge? You can expand your horizons to the Battenkill to test your skills.

Honey Harvest and bottling

Boorn Brook Farm has its own apiary, where the local harvest in the late spring and fall bring delicious golden nectar for your consumption.  If making your own party favors* appeals to you, bottle your own honey gathered from our hives. (*Subject to availability.)  Learn about the bees, and enjoy their β€œliquid gold”with your toast & tea or, for the true lover of honey, by the spoonful.
